Keri's Birthday Card.

Here is the card that I made for my good friend Keri for her birthday. She is such a good friend, she even took this picture for me! I made the card and mailed it to her without taking a photo of it. Luckily, she had me covered!!!

I used my two favorite dies in the Big Shot. The Daisies and the Top Note. I love the daisy in this textured DSP.

I see lots of Daisies in my future!

A Daisy Diecut Card.

Here is a very simple card that I made with the my new Daisies Die for my Big Shot. I tried to keep the concept simple to show off the flower.

The Big Shot has consumed a big portion of my stamping budget. There are so many cool things that I can use it for. I can't wait to get a page put together using these flowers!

Thanks for stopping by!

In Color Thank You.

Another workshop card. I used the bright cheery in colors with one of my favorite (versatile) stampsets Seeing Spots. The brad is one of the new designer brads that SU! is now selling. The words in the circle say "thank you." But, no matter how many pictures that I took, they were blurry!

Enjoy the sunshine, which is as bright as this card!

Inspired by Keri's layout.

A while ago, Keri sent me this butterfly card. I had told her that it inspired me to use the set which I haven't even mounted, yet. Well, when I sat down to create, I couldn't find colors that I wanted to use with butterflies. But, I did create this card with some of my new textured DSP. I was hoping to end up with a manly birthday card. And, that I did.

I colored it in using my water color crayons. I plan on using this card for my workshop on Friday. And, when I do that I will get more of the saw on the card.

Enjoy the sunshine.

The "Sister" to Keri's Wreath.

They tell me that it is Spring. So, going along with that I wanted to make a wreath for the backdoor. Off to AC Moore's we go. We meaning my husband and I. The yellow and orange lilies immediately take my eye. I find the greens and Scott (my dedicated husband) finds the ribbon to match perfectly!

We head for home, while Scott is grumbling at the check out..."I didn't know that we were buying a jungle."

I get home, get out my trusty glue gun and off I go! I made this wreath for our back door. And, her "little sister" is for my dear friend Keri. She has a birthday tomorrow and I wanted to do something special! The problem is that she is as creative as I can be, and I wanted to make her something "different." So, the wreath fit the bill! And, I understand that she has received it and all ready has it hung!!!

Happy Birthday a day early Keri!!!!

My Latest Afghan.

This afghan is for friends of our family. They are having a baby girl. So, I picked out some cute pink yarn. It doesn't show well in the picture, but there is a shiny, pearl colored thread in it and it is very pretty in real life. This is my favorite one so far!!!

Babies, babies, babies. Seems to be the way of life around here!

Have a good day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Okay, I know that this is not a card! I don't usually do St. Patrick's Day cards. Or, anything else for that matter. I have a table runner with shamrocks on it and I have these cute little wooden blocks that spell out the word "luck" and a Leprechaun sits on top of them. And, that is the extent of my St. Patrick's Day.

But, the boys both had snack for school. One yesterday and one today. So, I made a double batch of Keri's sugar cookies, tinted the batter green and frosted them green. And, now we have the spirit of St. Patrick's Day!

Enjoy!

The New Tree.

Here is a card that I made last week with the new set. I am finding that this tree is not as "lovely" as the other trees. I am hoping for some more inspiration as the set gets older!

We are in the midst of another gray day! I think that as I get older the winter lasts longer. What I wouldn't do for a nice warm sunny day! But, I guess that I am asking for way too much!

Have a good day!

Same Idea, A Little More Color.

So, here is another shot at the new set that I have been having a hard time with. This time I used Cool Carribean with Chocolate Chip. It still has a lot of layers, but more color. And, again this is the new DSP that I am just loving.

Today, I am sitting here waiting for the UPS man to bring my box of new goodies. Hopefully, I will get them and get some ink on them to show off some new stuff to my collection!!

Enjoy!

Many Layers.

This card is a lot like me. It has many layers to it, yet it is simple! I had ordered this set Le Jardin Botanique from SU! I see it replacing Lovely As A Tree. After I got it and got it mounted I have had a hard time putting it to good use. It is a nice set, but I just have a hard time with it.

So, I used Very Vanilla and Always Artichoke to layer and layer. I do like how it turned out!

It is yet another rainy day here. It would be a perfect day to spend under the covers!!!

Enjoy the rain!

A Card For Mom's Birthday!

So, moms birthday is next week. What a fun occassion to pull out all of the stops and create, embellish and layer to the fullest extent.

For this card I dry embossed the tangerine tango with the diamonds. I used my favorite set and colored it in with my markers. I sponged a little. I added ribbon, the Top Note Die and some silver hodge podge hardware.

And, to top it off I even decorated the inside of the card. I keep that feature for my most special occassions!!!

Enjoy the sunshine!

Another Ava Page.

Here is another page that I did for Ava's parents to add to her 6 X 6 album. I try to keep them simple and keep the focus on Ava.

I enjoy getting to scrap for a girl with "girlie colors." That is something that with the boys, I don't get to do very often!

So, are you sick of my new sets, yet?

Here you will find yet another card made with the Thoughts and Prayers set. This one also uses the emobssing plate to add a little extra detail.

I love all of the options that SU! offers for borders and corners. But, I can't help going back to nice clean crisp 90 degree corners. I guess, that it tells you about my personality.

Have a good one!

A Piece of Backwoods.

Here is a card that I made with the fish from the Backwoods set. It is fairly simple. Again, it is hard to notice but, I used the diamond texture plate on the green background.

Have a great Sunday!
