The Last of the Scrapbooking for a while.

Here is a page of the boys just before a soccer game. They are involved in many sports, so I find myself doing lots of sports themed layouts. Again, fairly basic. I used one of my favorite SU! alphabet sets Rough Edges.

This page was for Bo's birthday. The boys were helping him get into his "present." I don't know who was more excited about the chicken flavored bone...Bo or the boys? This paper was bought at a scrapbooking show! I love it!!

Thanks for checking in.

A Camping Layout

Another summer adventure last year was our first camping experience. We had a good time and hope to do more camping this year.

For this layout I used some DSP and one of my favorite alphabets. It is a little tricky cutting out all of the letters, but it does pay off!

I love the color combination of Not Quite Navy, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. It works great for a boys layout!

Enjoy the sunshine!

A Honey of an Adventure!

These photos were taken last summer when we went to a local bee hive. We got to see the process of making honey from bee to bottle. Ryan loved it.

Again, you will see clean, sharp lines and simplicity! Sometimes, I wish I had it in me to be more adventerous with my scrapping!

Have a great day!

A Scrapbooking Adventure.

I have mentioned that I have had some time to do some scrapbooking. Well, let's take a couple of days and share some of my layouts. My scrapbooking style is clean, quick and simple. I do my best scrapbooking by picking colors and having simple embellishments. I would never get any pages done if they had to be complex. So, here we go.

The top page is one of Ryan's Christmas layouts. I am Christmas challenged when it comes to scrapbooking. I always tend to go for the traditional greens and reds. Well, here I stepped out of my box.

This is another of Ryans layouts. He was sharing hot cocoa with one of our cats. The journaling is hard to see here as it is done in Not Quite Navy, just like the background. In real life, you can see it better. I used some DSP and my pennant die for my Big Shot.

I will post a couple of pages a day for a little while to catch up on my scrapbooking.

Our little getaway!

Last week, we went away for 3 days! It was a great time had by all. We went to Cooperstown. Where we visited the Farmers Museum. Highly recommended. All of the buildings weren't open, but we still had a great time!

Ryan got to try his hand at plowing with a horse...this is sure different from the big John Deeres that we are used too!

We also visited Howe Caverns. This was my second visit. The boys loved the caves and the boat ride!

It was a good time, but now we are back to reality!
Thanks for taking a peek!!

A Gift For a Friend.

Kyle had a birthday party for a buddy of his. I made up some wrapping paper and a gift card using a retired SU! stamp set! It is perfect for all of those little guys calling each other "Dude."

Have a beautiful day!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, one day late!!! My computer has been giving me headaches...actually my ISP is the problem!

Here is the card that I made. Using my Big Shot. If you look closely, you will see that the pink and purple pieces are dry embossed. The top part flips up to reveal the Easter greeting!

Enjoy!

Something for Sunday School

A few weeks back, we learned John 3:16 in my Sunday School class. I teach the 2nd through 4th grade level. During worship that day, the Pastor also talked about John 3:16 and told the kids that it is some of the most important words in the Bible.

So, I made each child in our class a card with the verse on it. They seemed to enjoy them!

Have a good day!

Jessica's Card

Last month, my downline Jessica came to my workshop. It was so nice to have her there! She is so excited about SU! And, it is so fun to have someone to share that with.

One of the things that she brought for me is this card. I think that she is trying to encourage me to buy yet another die for my Big Shot. For this card she used the SAB paper and ribbon along with the butterfly die! It is super cute!! Thank you Jessica, for sharing with me!!

Hopefully, we can get together soon!

A Tisket A Tasket, I made an Easter Basket

So, on SCS I found several talented ladies had made these adorable little baskets out of the Big Shot Scalloped Envelope die. Simply cut out four envelopes and sticky strip them together. Then I made handles using my scallop edged punch.

These are super cute and super easy. They don't have to be just for Easter either...I was thinking shower favors and teachers gifts for any season!

Thanks for looking!

Contraband

Very rarely do I use anything but SU!. Here is a stamp set that I received from Keri. It is Purple Onion Designs. Keri had used it on a couple of cards that she sent to me. I loved it at first sight! There are so many uses for this stamp. I can't wait to use it in my scrapbooking.

This card was my brothers' birthday card.

Enjoy the day!
