A Baby Shower Card.

My second niece or nephew is due in September. We went to the baby shower over the weekend. Here you will see the card that I made for them. Trying to keep it neutral I used some nice vibrant colors Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo.

It was a full weekend of soccer, baby shower and graduation party. And, today I am off to serve jury duty! There are many other things that I would rather be doing with my time, but what can I do?

Enjoy your day until the rain comes!

A HUGE thanks to Bonnie!

Thank you Bonnie!!! Why thank Bonnie, you ask? Well, first this is the card that she brought to share with us at our get together the other night. I hadn't ordered this paper and now I have a beautiful sample of it!!
Secondly, you may notice the new features on the side of my blog. As long as I have had a blog, I have wanted to add the SU! catalogs, but being a computer dummy, I couldn't figure it out. Well, Bonnie sent me detailed instructions on what and how to do it. Wa-La! On the right side you can see pictures of the catalogs. Click on the photos and you can view the catalogs.
Thank you Bonnie for sharing hints on what to do!
Enjoy your day!

Cup of Lemonade, anyone?

Here is the very cool card that Jessica demonstrated for us. I had seen a similar card on SCS, but hadn't tried it. Mainly because I don't have the Tart 'n Tangy set that is used for the lemons. Now, I may have to order it!

This card was fairly simple. You use the cardstock vellum to cut out the shape of the cup. Sponge some yellow onto the vellum. Stamp and punch out some slices of lemon. We used the two way glue pen and dazzling diamonds for the sugar. The cup is attached using the mini glue dots and you can't even tell that they are there. I also used the spritzing tool to add some color onto the white cardstock.

We certainly do have fun exchanging ideas at our get togethers. But, each time I come away thinking that I "need" another set or a tool that I don't yet have!

The Updated Card.

Here is the same card that was posted yesterday, but with the Circle Circus stamp set that will be available July 1st from SU! I also used the new Modern Label punch instead of the oval tag that I used on the last card.

Last night we met again at Jessica's for some demonstrator stamping and sharing of ideas. We had a very nice time and I learned several new things. The cards that we made are super cute and will be fun to share with you in the coming days!

Stay cool in the warm temperatures!

A Cool Workshop Card.

Well, at least in my opinion! The photo is a little dark, sorry about that. But, I got this set as a "wish" from the SUDEMOONLY site. And, I sat down to play with it. I really wasn't sure what I would come up with.
After a little while I came up with this card. I used Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery and Basic Gray! I must say that the card is stunning in real life. It seems like I say that about many of my cards! I wish that the pictures came out a little better!
Stay tuned tomorrow for the same layout and colors, just a different stamp set. It is amazing how easy SU! makes card making!
Enjoy another day of sunshine!

New Item Sneak Peak Swap

One of the groups that I belong to is doing a swap with the theme of New Products. This is the card that I made using exclusively new products. I used the Circle Circus stamp set with several of the New In Colors. I finished the card off with the Polka Dot In Color Ribbon!
I look forward to seeing what the other ladies come up with. And, hope that they enjoy my card.
Enjoy this glorious sunshine!

It's A Girl!

My long awaited journey of becoming an Aunt has arrived!! On Friday my brother and sister in law welcomed their new baby girl into this world! She is perfect!!! This is a card that I made for them yesterday. I used the printed window (polka dot) sheet. It looks so very nice in real life and the picture just doesn't do it justice. I used the Big Shot and the Top Note to add dimension.
Enjoy your day!

Happy Graduation!

Happy Graduation!!!! 'Tis the season!!! Our family had a couple of years with no graduations, or graduation parties. This year it all caught up with us!! So, how excited was I when I saw this cute little owl made from SU! punches? This is a super simple card to make using circle, scallop circle and the label tab punches!

This card was for a school that had Green and White as their school colors. But, it is easy to make it for any school, by just substituting colors!

I think that we may do a similar card for my workshop this month!

A Simple Summer Birthday Card.

Here are two more new In-Colors. This is Melon Mambo with Crushed Curry. The color combination really gets me in the mood for summer!
Again, I used the Circle Circus stamp set. I used the circle punches and the scallop circle punch to put a "hole" in the center of the card, creating a cute little window.
We are in the midst of some lovely weather. I hope that it lasts a while, but I am sure that it will rain before long! At least at this point I am feeling good about no more frost!
Enjoy the day!

I'm Back and Back on Track!

Unfortunately, this is that time of the year, and unfortunately stamping takes a back seat! I can't believe that it has been nearly a week since I have posted anything new. But, the sun comes out and I find myself outside in the gardens!
This is a simple card that I made using the Circle Circus stamp set. I simply repeated the pattern and tied on a ribbon. This ribbon is the cool polka-dot ribbon that is offered in all of the new SU! in-colors. My favorite thing about this ribbon is that if you are careful, you can turn it over and it is solid.
I also used the new modern label punch that is available. I really like this punch. It is a bit larger and it can be used with many sentiments!
It is supposed to be showering today. So, enjoy the rain!

Rub-ons, anyone?

Here is a sample of the Rub-ons, Autumn Harvest, that are offered in the new SU! catalog. There is also a stamp set called Autumn Days, that also features the pheasant and other Fall type foliage.
When rub-ons first came on the scene, I wasn't a huge fan. Slowly they are growing on me. Suprisingly, they are easy to use. The only difficulty that I have is keeping the sheets from sticking to each other and sometimes they get ruined.
This color on this card is the new In-Color Soft Suede. It resembles the old in color True Thyme. It is a nice color and seems to match well with many other colors.
Stay tuned for more Sneak Peak samples!

Busy In-Colors

So, I ordered the Circle Circus set, which is not generally my style. When the order arrived, I thought what am I going to do with this. So, I worked on doing a background with two of the new In-Colors. It is a little busy, but I think that I like it.

Of course, to finish the card I added a double layer butterfly to the card. I love this die. I am not a butterfly person when it comes to stamping. But, given all of the butterflies in the catalog, I felt like I had to go with the flow!

So, here we are!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Tour of the New Sneak Peek Items!

I have been hoarding my new samples of the New In-Colors! I got my package last Wednesday. I have been playing ever since!! I realize that I am not the only demonstrator doing so! The majority of the demonstrator blogs that I follow have been idle since last week. Hopefully, slowly but surely the samples will appear and we will all be inspired.
The new In-Colors are very vibrant! Here you will find Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry. When you first see the colors, you think that they resemble other current SU! colors. But, as I started to use them, they are different!
For this card I tried to use as many of the new colors as possible. And, when I try to force something it generally doesn't work as well as I hope! There are polka dot ribbons in all of the In-Colors. I don't usually do polka dots, but the flip side of the ribbon is just solid color. I have found myself using that side more often than the polka dots.
Check back this week and I will continue to post samples using the new colors and my new sets.
Have a great week!

A pretty cool micro bead pen.

Remember a couple of weeks to go I got together with my downline and her downline? Well, here is the microbead pen that Jessica showed us how to do.
I had made these in the past. That was when SU! didn't sell the sheets of Sticky Strip. This was so easy! Cut the DSP and sticky strip into 3 and 1/4" by 1 and 3/4 "....then adhere the DSP to the barrel of an RSVP pen. Then adhere the sticky strip. Heat it with the heat tool and roll the sticky part in microbeads. Lastly, tie some ribbon on to decorate the cap!
So, fun!!! They can be made to coordinate so many things!
Have a good day!
