Enabler Card!

Here is a card that I got in last months SUDEMOONLY swap! There are so many things that I love about this card!
The things that got me the most were the mini tag and safety pin. Of course, I had to add them to my last order! They are so cute and easy to add to a card! I just love them! The Stamp Set is called Tiny Tags. Of course, you also have to have the punch which is called the Jewelery Tag Medium.
Just a simple addition that adds so much! I can't wait to apply it to scrapbooking!

Christmas Card Swap.

For this month, the SUDEMOONLY group had the theme of Christmas for its swap. I combined Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler to create my beauty!

I used the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder with my Big Shot to add these beautiful snowflakes. I added some Rhinestones and Dazzling Diamonds for a little extra bling! Can you ever have too much bling???

This for sure got me thinking about what I might use for my Christmas cards this year! The verdict has not come in, yet. But, I will let you know when I decide!
Enjoy!

Just Believe for a Workshop.

This card was inspired by a card that my downline Jess gave to me! I will have to photograph that one too! I used Marina Mist and Whisper White for this creation. I added some spritz with my Sprizer Tool and some Half Back Pearls!
Very Nice!

Workshop WOW Card.

Again, using Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla I came up with this card. I used the Big Shot and my punches to cut out some backdrops. I used Just Believe and cut out the flowers and added them with a dimensional! Finally, I used my Spritzer Tool to spatter ink on the vanilla card stock.

A Birthday Card For My Brother.

Here is a card that I made for my brothers birthday. He is a hunter, so it fits! I brayered on the background masking the moon. I colored the moon with my marker. Then stamped the tree and deer image with Early Espresso.
The background is done by inking an embossing folder!
Have a good day!

Sticking With The Theme

Well, I'm back! Two days in a row! Here is the thank you card that I made for Ryan to use for all of his thank you's! Of course, we had to stick with Extreme Dirtbike and Extreme Elements. I switched up the colors this time. I used Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso!

Nice and simple and easy to mass generate!

Enjoy this Fall Sunday!

Ryans Birthday Card.

Ryan's 8th birthday was in September. He loves this stamp set Extreme Dirtbike! So, I thought that it would be perfect. When I sat down to make this card theses scrap pieces of paper just happened to be laying on my desk, so I put them to use.
I used the Extreme Elements set to add so detail to the colored pieces. I did the dirtbike with Black Embossing Powder. I colored the halfback pearls with a sharpie and added them to the card.
There you have it and of course he loved it!

An Engagement Card

Friends of ours got engaged this month! So of course, I had to send a card! I used this Just Believe set with my favorite color Cherry Cobbler! I added a few halfback pearls and some spritzes of color and wa-la!

Cherry Cobbler is such a distinctive color! I just love how formal it looks!

Enjoy the rain!

SURPRISE!!!!

Well look who showed up!!! And, I even brought a long a new card to show off! I apologize for my absence! The only excuse that I have is laziness. I have so much to show off, I just don't get the photos uploaded like I should!
This beauty was for my brother and sister in laws anniversary! The stamps are from Just Believe and Teeny Tiny Wishes.
I used my sponges to sponge some ink over this beautiful paper Presto Patterned Designer paper. It makes it appear as the emboss resist technique. Simply sponge on the ink and wipe it with a tissue. It is lovely!!!

SUDEMOOONLY Swap.

The theme for last months swap is Something That I Love From the New Catalog or Holiday Mini Catalog is......And, I just love this new Christmas DSP.

So, I used the Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler to create my card. The card is fairly simple and straight forward, but at the same time it is elegant! The Holly Stamp and the sentiment are from Christmas Classics.

I used the Square Lattice Die to emboss the Always Artichoke background piece. And, I added some of the Hemp Twine for a little extra!
I hope the ladies that receive the card enjoy it as much as I do!

Just Believe

You just never know when you are going to find a set that is so fun to use, you can't stop thinking of ideas for it! I just got this set last week after seeing so many AWESOME samples of it. The set is called Just Believe and is brand new to our catalog! This is the only card that I have gotten the time to make with it, but hopefully in the near future I will make a few more.

I used the masking technique to mask over the flowers to add the sentiment. I used my wonderful SU! markers to color it! The DSP is from the Hostess Level 1 set. I am also loving this ribbon and wishing that it was available in more colors!

Then I finished her off with some half back pearls! Do I have to tell you that I am pleased with the outcome?
Enjoy your day!
PS....I am so excited to say that MY card one the SUDEMOONLY Swap for the month of July with the Red, White and Blue theme. My card used Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler and the Countryside stamp set. I posted the card earlier on my blog! I have so much fun with this group!!!

Happy Labor Day!

Wow! Can you believe that it is Labor Day and school starts tomorrow? I am enjoying an extremely pleasant morning. The boys are at football and my husband is at work. I have made ice cream, cookies and cleaned up the kitchen. In a short while the boys will return and the last full day of bickering will begin!
This card was so fun to make. I just love the XL Bird Punch! I used Marina Mist and Early Espresso. After some tearing, sponging, embossing and distressing I can finally say this one is finished.
I finished him off with a pearl for an eye! Have I mentioned that I just love these little half back pearls? What a simple way to dress up any card (or bird!).
Enjoy your day off! Take time to relax!

Lots of Concord Layers

This card is full of layers. I used the Concord Crush DSP from the Hostess Level 1 paper pack with the Hostess level 2 set Apple Blossoms. Although there are a bunch of layers, this card was fairly simple to create.
I also added 3 tiny rhinestones! I love these little things. They are so worth the little bit of fuss that it takes to peel them off of the paper. They are becoming as critical to me as dimensionals!
Enjoy your day!

Cat Tails

Here is a card that I am really pleased with. Again, using pieces from last Saturdays workshop card. This time I added Early Espresso, which I think should be added to every card.
I distressed the yellow background with some Early Espresso Ink and a sponge. I never get tired of these cat tails! I think they are so neat!
Have a great day!

Same CS different Layout

As I mentioned yesterday, I decided to use my pre-cut pieces of cardstock to create different cards. And, for this sample I actually had a truck all stamped and ready to mount. So, I combined the two. Yes, I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler to the mounted piece, but the rest is the same as yesterday's card!
Have a good day!

Workshop Card

I usually don't demonstrate the Hostess sets. I did a workshop on Saturday and because I love the Because I Care set so much, I demonstrated it.

We used Daffodil Delight and Old Olive to create this gem! I showed how to make the background by covering the inside of the Square Lattice Embossing Folder with ink. We used markers to color in the flower and the sentiment.

Stay tuned for other samples using the extra pieces of cardstock that I had from the samples. I have always put the extra into my scrap. Recently, I decided to challenge myself and use the same cardstock with other sets and maybe and additional color. I have a couple of cute ones to show with the extras this time!

Here's to a great week!

It's a Baby Boy!

Friends of our family recently welcomed a baby boy into their family! For this occassion, I had to use my Teddy and Train set that has sat idle for some time now.

I used Old Olive and Very Vanilla for my layout. I used my Dots Embossing Folder on the Old Olive cardstock. I colored the teddy bear in with my markers. And, finished it up with some Very Vanilla satin ribbon.

Oh what fun babies are!!!
Have a great weekend!

My Hubby's Birthday!

Today is my husbands birthday. Sadly, I usually don't make him a card. Why? You might ask yourself? And, I really don't have a good reason. But, this year I took on the challenge, and am so glad that I did!

I absolutely love the way this card turned out. It has that vintage look but still looks modern!

I began with a chipboard frame. I used my Craft Stampin' Spots to color it up. Then I added some of the new Vintage brads. I do love them! I did the background by coloring my Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder with Bravo Burgundy ink and running it through the Big Shot.

The image is from Countryside. I water colored it with my aqua painters and markers. I have finally mastered the water coloring with markers. I hope to do more of this in the near future. I struggled with water coloring for a long while, but seem to have it down now!

Here is a close up of the tag and brad! It just looks so neat!! Well, here is to my husband! I hope that you have a great day!

Happy 1st Birthday!

One of my challenges in making cards is making a card for a 1st birthday! I always have great plans, but it just doesn't work out. I try to keep them simple, yet cute! My first attempt with this card didn't work out and found its way to the trash.

I didn't give up because we are going to the party today and the card needed to be made. So, I tried again.

It didn't turn out too bad, may just a little too simple. I used my Big Shot and letter set to cut out the 1st. I applied ink to the inside of my Square Lattice Embossing Folder and ran some Whisper White cardstock through it. Then I added a couple of rhinestones. They do add some nice sparkle, although it is hard to tell that from this photo!

Enjoy the day!

My Red White and Blue Swap.

I chose to use the Countryside Stamp Set for my card. I combined Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist to create the layout. I also added some of the Extreme Elements. I water colored with my markers and Aqua Painter. There is also some texture in there. I used the Lattice Square embossing folder.

To finish it off I used my Spritzer Tool to speckle the image. I was very pleased with the way that this card turned out! Very proud to send it to some fellow stamping friends!
Enjoy the weekend.
PS>>>>SO EXCITED THAT THIS CARD WON THE CONTEST FOR THIS MONTH AND IS FEATURED ON THE SUDEMOONLY SITE! WOO-HOO

Two More Red White and Blues.

This card is super cute with the red and navy butterflies! I love the border and ribbon. So cute!

This card used Extreme Elements with Cherry Cobble and Marina Mist. This color combination was very popular!
Tomorrow I will post my submission for the swap!
Have a great day!

Next Red White and Blue Swap Card.

This card was sent by Teresa Gray. She did a very neat fold to her card. The Marina Mist piece is the flap. So neat! She used the Because I Care hostess set that you saw so much of from me! The heart border punch is also neat. I don't have it, so you haven't seen it from me!

Apparently, this Cherry Cobbler color was a great choice by SU! It is their number 1 selling color at this time! I know that I love it and apparently so do many others!

Red White and Blue Challenge

This months theme for the SUDEMOONLY Swap is to use Red, White and Blue. While making my card I tried to go with a patriotic theme....But, I wandered from that thought.

Then I started to receive the other swaps. Most of us had the same idea and used "shades" of red, white and blue.

This card is from Terri Christiano. She used Baja Blue, White and red. I love how she did the windows and stamped in the windows. I have done this in the past, but I have a terrible time keeping them centered. Terri did a fabulous job!

Now, I don't feel bad with how my swaps turned out! More to come!!!!

Have a great day!

Vintage Vogue and some Bling!

This is a card that I whipped up yesterday. I used Wild Wasabi, Peach Parfeit and Concord Crush. I stamped some of the flowers directly on the background and stamped a couple on scrap paper then cut them out.

I added a super cool rhinestone to each of the flowers! These little things are darling and certainly add some spunk to a card. I can't wait to use some more of them!
Enjoy the day!

Simple Elements of Style.

This card is really pretty in real life. You can't see in this picture that I embossed the Basic Black background with my Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

I cut out a Top Note using my Big Shot. Then stamped the flower and sentiment on the Top Note. I stamped the hummingbird and cut him out. I stuck him to the card using dimensionals.

Pretty and simple!
Enjoy the day!

A Workshop Card.

This is a card that we did at my workshop last week. I used Water Color Trio and Heard From the Heart stamp sets. We cut the Whisper White Cardstock and added a piece of thick window sheet to let the greeting from the inside show through to the outside. The DSP is from Greenhouse Gala.

We used markers to color in the images on the stamps prior to stamping them on the paper.
The ladies seemed to enjoy this simple card!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Wedding Card.

Tomorrow we have to go to a wedding. It has been a while since we have had to do that. I made this card using some retired product.

The specialty designer paper is perfect for a wedding card. It is clean and classy. I used my Big Shot and Lots of Tags Sizzlits to make the the tag. The pearls are from the Pretties kit.
I also used my Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder and Black Satin Ribbon. I am quite pleased with the outcome.
Thanks for stopping by!

Thoughts and Prayers.

This is the other card that I made for my other sister in laws birthday. I used the color combination from a previous post. Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.

Just like yesterdays card, I applied ink to the embossing folder before I ran it through the Big Shot. Then I sprayed some smooch spritz spray onto the card for some extra sparkle.
Have a great day!

Daffodil Delight Watercolor Trio

Two of my sister in laws have birthdays this week, so that called for some stamping! This first card is for my brothers wife. She loves yellow! Her car is actually yellow! So, I thought it would be a good time to pull out the Daffodil Delight!

I used the new Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder. I covered the inside of the folder with Daffodil Delight ink and then put the paper into the folder and ran it through the Big Shot. So, the ink only came where it wasn't embossed. I love this effect.

Then I used my markers to color the flowers. Two of them I cut out and adhered with dimensionals.

This White Organza ribbon has long been my favorite. Yesterday, I thought...I wonder how it will take ink? Well, it took it well. I simple ran the ribbon under my finger and over the ink pad and it turned yellow! It needs to dry for a minute and could easily smear, but it worked well.

So, now my favorite ribbon is even my "more favorite" ribbon. And, it also explains why SU! hasn't introduced it in any other colors because I can make it any color I want too!!!

Have a great Monday!

Another SUDEMOONLY Swap Card.

This card was sent to me by Cyndi Willis. She did a fantastic job with this set and the layers! She added so many things to this card which made it just perfect!

She used a background stamp, dry embossing and distressing to create a beautiful background!
There is new ribbon, smooch spritz (for sparkle) and that tiny cut out flower that added the perfect touch!

I love the color combination of Cherry Cobble, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake! Just lovely!
Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Greenhouse Gala DSP.

This is the most beautiful DSP pack. It is called Greenhouse Gala and is available in the brand new catalog! The color combinations are very eye catching!

This card has minimal stamping! I used Certainly Celery and Pumpkin Pie. I realized afterwards that it is really Pear Pizzaz, but the Certainly Celery worked! Next time I will have to pay closer attention!

Simple Graduation Card

One thing that I really love about making my own cards, is how simple it can be! We are invited to a graduation party (unfortunatley, we can't attend) and I need a card. So, here is what I came up with. Our highschools colors are Real Red and White! Perfect! I used the single Graduation stamp from the mini catalog, Real Red and Whisper White. And, once again I used the Square Lattice Embossing folder!

Tuesday, July 6, 2010

Happy Birthday!

Today is one of my good friends birthday! This is the card that I made for her. It was my first try with Watercolor Trio. I stamped it in Wild Wasabi on Whisper White. Embossed it with my Square Lattice Embossing Folder. Then used my Pretty in Pink and Wild Wasabi markers to color the flowers. I cut them out and added them to the card with dimensionals.
I love the results!

My SUDEMOONLY June Card.

For this card I combined many new products, colors and stamps! The sets are Studio Sketches and the Level 3 Hostess set Occasional Quotes. Occasional Quotes is stuffed full with Greetings and Sentiments! I just love it!
The colors are Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist and Cherry Cobbler. I also used the new Embossing Folder Vintage Wallpaper. The ribbon is also a new product 1/8 " Taffeta Ribbon in Very Vanilla.
There are so many new and exciting products available! I can't wait to get my hands on more of them!
Have a Happy 4th of July Weekend!

SUDEMOOONLY June Swap.

This months swap theme was using new products. This card is made by Kirsten Brown. She used the set Because I Care. I love the masking of the rectangle! It adds so much to the card.

She cut out the flower to add dimension. And, the flower is sparkling just enough to make it beautiful!
Simply stunning!
