My Swap Card

As previously mentioned, on Monday night our little stamp group got together.  We did a shoe box swap.  We got lots of neat ideas and projects to come home with.

I kept my card simply, as there were supposed to be 8 of us swapping.  I used the Blooming With Kindness set.  As you know, if you follow my blog, I LOVE this set.  Imagine my surprise when I found out that the other ladies hadn't bought this set yet!  Wow!  I just love it and I think they did too!

I used Island Indigo, Soft Suede and Sahara Sand.  I coloreded the main image with my markers.   I embossed the background layer with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.

Happy Hump Day!  Today, I am excited to receive my New Mini Catalog products that I ordered.  I can't wait to play!

Country Birthday

This is a birthday card that I made for a dear friend!  She runs the neatest little farm.  Growing chickens, sheep and rabbits!

This set isi called Countryside.  I tried to keep it monotone.  I used DSP from the Comfort Cafe' pack.  I simply used Very Vanilla and Soft Suede.  A little sponging here and there...and wa-la!  I added some of the 5/8 inch crochet trim down the side with 3 Metallic Brads.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Field Flowers

Field Flowers is a lovely stamp set.  It enables you to create a fantastic card with very little effort!  I love to use it with any combination of colors.  This time I used Gumball Green and Midnight Muse.    Not traditional flower colors, I know!  But, how cool would it be to have blue flowers!  It would do a great thing in the gardens!

I also used the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  And, added some Midnight Muse 3/8 inch Stitched Ribbon.  The sentiment is from Curly Cute.  As a final touch, I spritzed some Midnight Muse ink from a marker using the Color Spritzer Tool.

Enjoy your Monday!  I am looking forward to a swap tonight!   I am sure that I will come home with many more samples to share with you!

Blooming With Kindness!

This by far is one of my favorite new stamp sets.  It is such an elegant stamp that can be used simply or you could make it more complicated.

For this card, I chose to do a monotone look.  I used the color Primrose Petals which is another of the new in colors offered this year!  I also used my Apothecary Accents Framelits.  Have I not used them on a card recently?  I just love them!  I also used the new embossing folder Fancy Fan.

I sponged some ink on the borders of the Whisper White cardstock.  I just love this!

Happy Hump Day!

Betsy's Blossoms

Betsy's Blossoms was a set that was available to pre-order from the New catalog.  I didn't love it, but since it was available I "had" to order it.  So, I did.  Then, I didn't know what to do with it!  After a bunch of playing this was a card that I came up with for my workshops.

I also incorporated some of the Floral District DSP.  It is a simple card, but the ladies seemed to enjoy it!

Make the best of today!

Inside and Out.

Every once in a while I am inspired to decorate the inside of a card.  Truth be told, every once in a while I have the time to decorate the inside of the card.  Most of the time I am racing into and out of the stamping room just in time to get to the mailbox.  Every once in a while, I do have a little bit more time!

I simply stamped the greeting and then the Serene Silhouette from the outside of the card on the inside.

This is another of the New In Colors.  It is called Raspberry Ripple.  It is a nice shade of pink!  Not too light, but not too fuschia!

I also used the Delicate Doilies Sizzlit to make the frame for my image.

Have a great Monday!

Midnight Muse.

This is a card that I made for my mother in laws birthday!   Midnight Muse is my favorite new In Color!   It is the perfect blue.  I paired it with Very Vanilla which coordinated with the DSP from the Comfort Cafe' DSP pack.

I added one of the New In Color Dahlias to the center of the flower.  These little flowers are great!  I love the dimension that they add to a project.  I only wish they were available in MORE colors!

Enjoy your weekend!

Harvest Blessings.

The "farm girl" in me had to have this set when the new catalog was released.  I can use quite a few tractors for my manly cards.

This one is for my father in law.  I understand that it is a John Deere tractor, but I thought he would appreciate a red tractor more.  So, red it is!

The set is called Harvest Blessings and is only $13.95 for the clear mount!  Simple and Cheap you can't beat that!

Have a great day!

The "Other" Swap Card.

Unfortunately, there were only 3 of us signed up for this months card swap.  This is the other card that I received from Sharon.

I love the DSP.  I haven't gotten that pack, yet.  The tag and sentiment are perfect!

Thanks for sharing ladies!

Swap Card.

Here is a card that I received from this months SUDEMOONLY Swap.  A demonstrator,  Lily Cooksey, created this beauty!

I love the color combo and technique that she used on her card!  It is just lovely!

Have a great day!

Complete CASE

Here is a card that I saw online.  It was just too cute, so I had to duplicate it.  I used my Hearts Collection Framelits to make the head of the bear.  Then various punches to complete the face and ears.  It really was simple to do!  I am so glad for the internet and the people who share such cute ideas!

Make the most of your Monday!

Tempting Turquoise Embossing Powder

I haven't invested in many background sets lately.  But, now that they are available in clear mount and are only $13.95 I decided to take the plunge.  The first one that took my eye is Pleasant Poppies.  This stamp is so versatile, I can use it in many ways.

For this card, I used the Tempting Turquiose embossing powder on Early Espresso cardstock.  It is so easy to create!  Simply stamp in versamark, pour on the powder and heat until set!  I added some satin ribbon (which sadly is no longer available) and a simple greeting!

Have a great weekend!  Find some time to stamp!

Reverse Apothecary Accent Framelit

For this card I used the "scrap" piece of the cut out framelit.  I simply sponged  some Baja Breeze ink in the cut out space.  I then used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack,  Stampin' Pierce Mat and the Paper-Piercing tool to punch out a border aound then image.

I went for my favorite Serene Silhouettes and stamped that in Baja Breeze also.

I love simple!  And, this fits the bill!

Make the most of today!

Simple Sympathy

This is clearly a very simple layout and card.  I love how easy it is to create something so simple!  I also enjoy being able to change one little element of a card to add interest.

The Fancy Fan embossing folder is lovely!  Everytime SU! introduces a new pattern of embossing folder, I must have it!  They are so easy to use and add such dimension to any project!

The color here is one of the New In Color colors from SU! it is called Primrose Petals.  I really don't have use for much pink in my life.....but, I will make do and use it when I can!

Enjoy the day!

Delicate Doilies Sizzlit

I haven't really "been on board" with the doily theme and SU!  But, when I saw the Sizzlit, I thought I can handle that!  This is the first card that I  made with the doily and I have used the die several times since.  I actually like the way it looks.  One thing to keep in mind is having patience with poking all of the little pieces of paper out of the paper.  It isn't hard, it just takes an extra minute or two!

The stamped image is from the Serene Silhouettes stamp set and punched out with the 1 and 3/4 inch circle punch.

I have embossed the Square Lattice embossing folder with ink on one side to create a pattern in the background piece.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a happy Monday!

Serene Silhouettes

Another go to set from the new catalog is Serene Silhouettes.  I love how simple it is to use this set and create a beautiful card.   I used my markers to color the image this time.

The design of this set leads to very simple elegance, which is great for me!

Have a great weekend!

SUDEMOONLY Swap Card.

As previously mentioned, I am a member of SUDEMOONLY a great group of ladies who grant wishes of SU! products to each other.  I look at the group as a way to make someones day with a little surprise SU! item in the mailbox.  I love surprises in my mailbox!  And, this group is lovely!

We have done swaps for many years.  We had been on a break for a while, and now have returned!  I hope that the swap continues as I love it!

This is the card that I mailed to the other gals in the swap.  I just love the International Bazaar DSP.  This paper is from that set.  I used the Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry to make this card.  I just love the Apothecary Accents Framelits!  This is my new go to shape!   I also used the Pappilion Potpourri stamp set with the Elegant Butterfly Punch!

Then I added the rhinestones for a little added interest!

Thanks for checking in!  Have a fantastic day!

Lady Bug Card.

Well, hello there!  Did you not expect me to be making a prescence today?  Well, honestly neither did I.  But, I have been doing some really neat things lately, so I thought that I should begin sharing my projects again.  I won't make any promises as to how long I stick around, but I will try my best!

This is a sweet little lady bug card that I made for my nieces first birthday. The theme for her party was ladybugs, so I thought this fit perfectly.  I simply punched out multiple scallop circles and added little circle black dots.

I added some brads, and various sizes of black and red circles to complete the theme.  I also added black flower buttons to the antenae to add even more dimenstion.  The red in the buttons is a very thin strip of red cardstock that I added for the "string."

Well, I am glad that you found me and I hope that we return on a fairly regular basis to share ideas.

Have a great day!
