The Swap That Wasn't.

Here is the card front that I created for the swap in Syracuse. I used the Vintage Vogue stamp set to create the backgrounds. I stamped the greeting and mounted the oval to a tag that I punched out using my Sizzlits Many Tags Die.

Well, today was my big day! I was so excited to have been registered for the Stampin' Up! Syracuse Regional Training Seminar! SU! doesn't regularly travel to NY, so I was thrilled to find out that they were going to be less than an hour away!

In January, I registered. Then I started planning and creating my card fronts for the organized swap that would be offered. So, I created 52 card fronts! I was so thrilled with the way that they turned out!

We are on our second snow day in a row. That leads to a 4 day weekend! We certainly have a lot of snow!

Enjoy!

Summer Soccer

Ryans favorite season of the year is "soccer season!" The boy loves to play, and has an amazing talent for the game!

These two pages pretty much explain themselves. They are simple! I used the Just Soccer set to stamp soccer balls and punched them out. I attached them with dimensionals. The Varsity Alphabet is one of my favorites when it comes to my sports layouts!

D is For Dog.

Here is a card that I made using my D is For Dog stamp set. I didn't have a lot of time, so I stamped the background with Creamy Caramel and Close To Cocoa. I cut out a black Labrador and added the tag.
The edge is scalloped with the FREE edge trimmer from the SAB catalog!

A Quickie!

Well, hello! I hope that you haven't given up on me! We have been out of town and I didn't get a chance to post. But, none the less it is Monday and we are back to the grind.
Here is a nice quick card that I made featuring DSP and the In Colors. It was very easy to make, but still looks so nice!
Have a good day!

A Little Non-SU!

Can you believe, that I just said that? That is a rarity for me! This football paper is from a stack that I had gotten at a retail store at some point. I stamped and cut out some footballs from Just Football and stuck them on with dimensionals. I also tied a little linen thread on there to add some detail.
Have a good day!

A Sweet Pea Page.

This page is of pictures from my parents house last summer. I used some of the Sweet Pea DSP, Sweet Pea felt flowers and some retired stitched felt ribbon. I loved the ribbon and am so glad that I still have some to use! It looks lovely with the flowers!
My journaling is done on the computer and adds a nice crisp finish!
Thanks for stopping in!

Flower Fusion!

This page is of a front page news article that the boys and I were in. I used the Flower Fusion flowers and various brads to add a bunch of color! I love how simple it is to make a cool page.
I don't usually get to add flowers to many of my scrapbook pages. So, when I get the chance I go all out!
I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and a piece of DSP to create this fun!
Have a good day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Wow! Two posts in one day! Well, after I had downloaded the other picture and went to post it, I realized that it is Valentine's Day and tomorrow this would be old news!
Here are the Valentine's that I made for the boys' school parties. I used the Sweet Treat Cups, but I cheated a little. I didn't punch the hole and layer the cup between card stock. I was in a hurry and this seemed to work!
For the boys, I did a sports theme. I cut out footballs, basketballs and soccer balls and the boys attached them. For the girls, I used chipboard hearts. I colored them with some craft real red ink and then embossed them with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.
I hope that you have a great Valentine's Day with your sweethearts!

Another Quick and Easy Page.

So, here we have my youngest son and my darling niece. I used the Big Shot and the Top Note Die to frame my journaling.
Simple, yet precious!
Have a great Valentine's Day!

A Scrapbook Page.

Last weekend I was able to sneak away for the day and get some scrap booking done. These pictures are from last summer. I always love taking pictures of the boys fishing. The weather is beautiful, they are having fun and concentrating so hard!
I simply used a wood sheet. I used the Inspired By Nature stamp set and made some cat tails. I tied on a piece of retired stitched felt ribbon, stamped the Live With Passion greeting on wood and punched it out.
It is a very simple page but captures the relaxing and passion!
Have a good weekend!

Some More Pink.

I am not generally a person who uses much "pink." in my stamping. Obviously, with two sons pink is not a color on the top of our color chart. Recently, I received a sample of some pink corduroy buttons from a SUDEMOONLY wish. So, I thought that I would put them to use.

I also didn't do my vintage vines green this time! What a big step for me! I stamped the flowers in Pretty In Pink and then cut them all out individually. One of them got a button brad, two got pink rhinestone brads and they were all attached with dimensionals.

I like the idea of the buttons being brad like. That makes them easy to use and I didn't have to "sew." They are kind of bulky, so they will need extra postage or hand delivery! But, they are cute none the less!

Have a good day!

Fifth and Final Card For January Swap.

This is the card that Debra Booe sent my way! She used the same bird punch that I did, but using DSP! She also used the new DSP from the mini catalog that is all sparkly and pretty! I love all of the elements that she added to her card! She embossed, sponged, punched, stamped and punched some more! Beautiful card, Debra!
Have a nice day!

Lorita's Swap.

This card is one that Lorita Edwards sent to me for the SUDEMOONLY Swap. She used a fold that I had not seen previously. The front has a vertical piece and then the main image is on a horizontal piece that adds a lot of character to the card. She also used my little favorites, the sweet pea felt flowers.

So, much fun! I just love these swaps!

Suzanne's Swap Card.

Here is the card that Suzanne Rhyne sent to me. I really like this card. The thing that gets me with this cards is that she used red and black on the vines! I love it! I am so in the box with my colors. Vines are supposed to be a shade of green, right? Well, obviously other colors work too. And, I love the results of it!

That SAB border punch is a huge hit! I love how it looks! I only wish that it was going to be around full time! Anyway, I will enjoy it while it is here!

Have a great Monday!

Check out these layers!

Here, is the second of five cards that I received from the SUDEMOONLY swap. This one was made by Janice McWilliams. She used many (did I say many) layers and textures for her card.
I really like the little heart "charm" that she added with som gold cord.
Have a good weekend!

Isn't This Card A Dandy!

Here is a card that I received from Cyndi Willis for the SUDEMOONLY January swap. Cyndi took a lot of time to cut out the flowers and petal! I love how she did the flowers, it is simply wonderful.

Cyndi also used the new butterfly embossing die. The die embosses and cuts! I hadn't ordered this yet. But, that will all change today! I love how it looks in real life! Thank you so much for sharing a wonderful card!

I had another idea.

After my last idea turned out so well, I decided to try something else. I am not as pleased with these results, but I will share any way!

I had received a sample of the Basic Gray satin ribbon from the mini catalog from a fellow SUDEMOONLY member. I wanted to use it. This card just didn't come together as I had expected. So, I kept adding things and layers.

Maybe, it is just the flower brads that I am unhappy with? I don't know. Usually I love pink and gray. What do you think? Is there something that you would add?

Have a good one!

SUDEMOONLY January Swap.

You have all seen that each month I participate in a swap with fellow members at SUDEMOONLY. This month our theme was new items from the Occasions Mini catalog. And, I have acquired way more than I thought I would have from this mini catalog!

I love these swaps for many reasons. Personally, it makes me step up my game. When I am sending a card to a friend or family member, they get a nice card that I work hard to create. But, when I am making cards for this group of demonstrators, I like to challenge myself to do my best most creative stamping!

For this card I used the new XL Bird Punch. I love this punch! I can remember when SU! started coming out with all of these birds, and I just didn't get it! Slowly, but surely, they grew on me. I embossed Brocade Blue card stock with the Damask Embossing plate. Then I punched the bird body. I punched out the branch with Mellow Moss card stock. And, I stamped the Very Vanilla card stock with Vintage Vogue and punched that out. The wing and the bird were both attached with dimensionals. I stamped the backgrounds with the same stamp from Vintage Vogue that I used for the bird wing.
Have a great day!

A Good Idea.

Every once in a while I have a vision for a card! Not only did I have a vision yesterday, but it actually worked out on this card. I am loving how this turned out and it was oh so easy to create. The paper is from the Sweet Pea DSP Stack in the Occasions Mini. The little felt pieces are from Sweet Pea Stitched Felt collection. Have I mentioned that I love these little things? They are so easy! Just add a little mono tombow multi glue and they are stuck forever! The sentiment is from the SAB set Whimsical Words. I used my Big Shot to cut a scallop circle. I broke out my Circle Scissors Plus to do the Rose Red and Whisper White layers.
Have a good day!
