Swap Card

This card had many purposes. First, it was a workshop card that we just made Friday night. Then, I made a few more for our groups swap. And, lastly this one got mailed to my in-laws for their Anniversary!

I love Daffodil Delight! It is so nice and bright. It screams Spring. If it were only that easy! I am screaming Spring, but it isn't helping!

The Daffodil Delight pom pom trim adds just a little to the card! I used my Build A Blossom Stamp Set and Punch. I also used my Color Spritzing Tool to add some Soft Suede speckle to the background.

Have a great day! And, pray for less snow! (or, no snow would be good too!)

A Bunch of Punch!

The Build a Blossom Stamp set and punch make for lots of pieces to piece together. This is a card that I made for my last workshop. Lots of passing the punch!

Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant two stamped created these blossoms. I embossed the edge with the Tulip Embossing Folder. Using the bone folder we gave a little curl to the top petals.

Just lovely!

Build A Blossom Birthday

I always love to find versatility in a stamp set. The flames for these candles were punched out witht the build a blossom punch. How cute!

I saw a similiar card on the SU! website. So, I went on to create a birthday candle card of my own.

Enjoy the day!

Happy Birthday, Mark!

Today is my "little" brothers birthday! So, this is the card that I made just for him! I stuck to one color Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. I had to add a touch of ribbon. Hopefully, it is "manly" enough for him! I also used the opposite side of the Square Lattice Embossing folder on the front. Just for a little something differen! Happy day!

Scrapbooking Again!

This is a page that I did last week at a scrapbooking night that I went to. The background paper is not SU! but matched nicely with SU! colors. I used my leaves die to cut out the leaves and then embossed them with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

I simply adhered the leaves with dimensionals to add some dimension! Simple, yet fun!
Enjoy your weekend!

A Gem of a Card!

This card just fell together. And, I absolutely love the results. I was trying to make some samples using Sweet Summer from the SAB Catalog. I grabbed my Poppy Parade (love that color) and started with that. Then I thought how about black? As I thumbed through my scraps I found this piece that was already embossed with the Vintage Embossing Folder. I stamped the flower images in Basic Black. Then colored them in with my Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzaz and Pink Pirouette markers.
I used the wide striped ribbon and tied a knot around it with the narrow black grosgrain ribbon.
It is so pretty in real life!
Enjoy the snow...it won't last long! {Hopefully!!!!!!}

Happy Birthday Keri!

Several years ago, I met this wonderful friend through stamping! Her birthday is today and she deserves the best!!! This is my attempt.

I made a 5 and 1/4 inch square card. The stamp is from the Countryside stamp set. I used my Top Note Die and the Big Shot to create the diamond shaped frame.

The Baja Breeze and Early Espresso look so nice together. Just fun, fun, fun!

Hope that you have a great day, Keri!

Is It Too Early For Easter?

I am trying to get a jump on Easter this year. I usually make Easter cards, but never get them mailed out. This year I am going to change all of that!

This is another monotone card. Early Espresso and Whisper White. This Bunny makes for some simple cards! So simple, yet he looks like you could eat him!
Happy Monday! Let's make the best of it!

Play Date DSP

This is a recent layout that I did of Ryan's birthday party a couple of years ago. I love the color combination of the Play Date DSP. It is so bright and easy to use.

I used the Happy Birthday Die to make the title. Then I embossed it with, what else, my Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I added some ribbon and circle brads. And, there you have it!
Enjoy the weekend!

Bright Birthday

Here is a bright birthday card! I used my circle punches to punch out several sizes and colors of circles. I adhered them to my Early Espresso card stock with the mono adhesive and than ran it through my Big Shot and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.
I then stamped the image onto Daffodil Delight and punched it out. I layered to of the Designer Label Punch to layer my greeting.
The colors used are Early Espresso, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point!
We are enjoying a beautiful Spring day here! Hope that you are too!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Well, today is my mom's birthday! I had tried to make her a card last week, but it didn't turn out as planned. So, on Saturday (the day it had to be in the mail) I sat down to create a special card just for her! And, what do you know? It turned out beautiful!!!!!!

The stamp set is FREE from Sale-A-Bration! The stamp set is called Sweet Summer. I used Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette and Very Vanilla. The ribbon is the seam binding in Marina Mist. I cut out the flowers and added some pearls for extra decorations.
I was thrilled with the outcome! Have a great day mom!

Aviary Round 2

Like I mentioned yesterday, I don't have this Aviary set. But, coincidentally I got another sampling of this set. A fellow stamper sent me this image on a cute little 3 X 3 card. So, I cut it off and altered it to be a full sized card.

I think it is so cute. I used her inspiration for the colors of Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso and Marina Mist. I embossed the polka dots with my Big Shot.

It was fun to take these ideas and make a card!

Aviary

Well, I had the best day on Saturday! I was in my jammies and stamped most of the day! The boys played outside in the mud....creating a lot of laundry to take care of! But, I got to create so many great things to share with you this week!
This card was fun! First of all the stamped images from Aviary! The images were stamped directly by SU! I just received an order last week and this was nicely tucked in there. I know they did this for many demonstrators, but I feel like they added a personal touch! I just happened to have ordered the DSP Play Date and what they stamped matched perfectly.
I mounted it on Old Olive and Real Red cardstock and adhered it to a Tempting Turquoise base. Then added an Old Olive Satin ribbon.
Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

Birds By My Mother In Law

My mother in law has really taken to SU! and comes up with some really neat cards. The thing that I admire most is her combination of stamp sets and elements. She doesn't just use one set at a time, she combines them in different ways to make some very neat cards.
For this card she used the XL Bird punch to make Red Wing Blackbirds, Gold Finches and Robins. So, darn creative and cute!
Enjoy your weekend!

Another Cousin Page!

So, in fairness the boys have two cousins. Since, I did the one, I must be fair and do the other. This photo is from last Spring.
I embossed 3 pieces of Sahara Sand cardstock with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder with my Big Shot and pieced them together for the texture. I used the Elements of Style set to do the scrolling on the background of the title piece.
The DSP is from the paperstacks that SU! sells. Those packs give so many options they are fun to incorporate into scrapbooking and card making.
Don't float away today!

Uncharted Territory

This card started out being a card for my mom for her birthday. Then, it just didn't come together. So, I kept at it until I came up with something that I was fairly happy with. Although, it is no longer a card for my mom, I have one done!
I used my chalks and markers to color in the lighthouse image. And layered satin ribon with the marina mist taffeta ribbon. Then added a strip of pearls to decorate it a little more.
Today, I am hoping that my latest order from SU! will arrive. It was "out on the truck for delivery" yesterday, but it never got delivered. Here's to hoping today is the day.

Botanical Gazette

Here is a card that I made this weekend. It literally took 5 minutes. The DSP is the Botanical Gazette DSP from the Occassions Mini catalog. I had originally said that it was so pretty, I would not be able to cut some of the sheets of paper. But, I actually brought myself to it and used the paper.
I cut a corner of the sheet and mounted it on Cherry Cobbler. Which I then mounted on Marina Mist. I used the Happy Birthday from the Hostess Level 2 Set Something to Celebrate. Then added a Vintage Brad (another favorite) for some bling! Simple as pie!
Enjoy the day!

A Page For Grandma.

This is a page that I made this weekend. I had taken this picture of our boys and our neice.
The DSP is one of my favorites! There are so many awesome colors in it. It is called Greenhouse Gala. I added some of the new pom-pom trim for some details.

The alphabet is Chocolate from Close To My Heart. I just thought this cursif alphabet was really neat and had to have it.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday! I have run out of my own work to share. Can you guess what is on my list for the weekend? I am hoping for some time up in the "stamp room." It is much needed, so I can't wait!
This is a card from last months SUDEMOONLY swap that I participated in. This is a dandy of a card. I love the crimping on the DSP. It reminded me that I need to take mine out and make sure that it still works!
I hope that you all enjoy the weekend! There are some Fridays that are more needed than others and this is one of them! It has been a long week!

Back to Scrapbooking.

This page is one that I made this past weekend. It had been a while since I have gotten a chance to take pictures of our boys and their pets. One afternoon, they were dressed for dinner and I thought here is my opportunity!

The pictures came out great! And, I also like the way the page came together. I used my Sizzix Shadow Box Letter set with my Big Shot to create the title. I added the paw prints from the D is For Dog stamp set. The dog and the sentiment are also from that set.

The colors that I used are Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla!

A Square Cupcake Card

So, this is neat! I saw the Tulip Border Embossing Folder made into a square. I thought neat! It didn't sound too hard to do and it wasn't. I gave it a whirl!
Cut a piece of cardstock 4 and 1/8 inches by 4 and 1/8 inches. Put the cardstock into the folder to the top of the folder. Run it through the Big Shot. Remove the cardstock and align it at the opposite end of the folder. The embossed part will fall nicely into the "grooves" of the folder. Run it through the Big Shot just far enough to line up the frame. Wa-La, you have it!
I used the new cupcake punch to make the cupcakes. I didn't get the coordinating stamp set, so I just used various cardstock. The cherries were punched from the red glitter paper that is in the Occassions catalog.
Have a great day!

Elegant Birthday Card

Here is another birthday card that I made this weekend. I am in love with this embossing folder. It is the Elegant Lines embossing folder. It embosses so lines that are so nice and crisp. It seems like I don't use this one often. And, the reason for that is because I have a hard time fiinishing the card. It is so beautiful as is, that I don't know what to add.

For this card it worked out nice. I kept it all baja breeze. Then just added the pearls!

It is lovely!
