Just Add Cake

This page is made with the Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper.  I love Baja Breeze and it is one of the colors featured in this set of papers.  I also used Early Espresso.  This pack of paper is fun because it features so many colors.  At first, I didn't think that I like the paper.  But, it was featured as a pre-order item so I ordered it.  I guess I will find a use for it!

Have a great day!  Our summer is winding down and we are looking forward to the transitions that we have in store for our family!  Enjoy!

You were warned.

I told you that I love this color (Island Indigo) and stamp set (Field Flowers), so you have to look at it some more!  I did this page of a photo that we had taken in the beginning of the summer.  I love the family photo, but I love the page too!

The new in color ruffled stitched ribbon is really neat!  It is easy to work with and adds so much to any project!

Have a great day!

Pieces From the Previous Giraffe Card

This is a quick thank you card that I made for Kyle's trumpet lesson instructor.  I didn't have a trumpet stamp, so I used the soccer set because the young man also plays soccer.

Simple and fun!

Workshop Card Take II

One of the things that I enjoy doing is using the extra pieces that I had prepared for a workshop to create another card.  This is one that I made from the pieces of the previous posts card.  I used the same colors (Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade) and the same stamp set (Field Flowers),  I just rotated the images.  And, of course I used ovals instead of the nice crisp square sentiment feature.  I like how this one turned out too!

Favorite Stamp and Color Combined

This is a combination of a few of my favorites from the new Idea Book and Catalog.  Island Indigo and Field Flowers are two of my first picks from the catalog.  So, I combined them and this was the result!

I also added Lucky Limeade to the mix.

The ribbon is available in all of the new In Colors in the Idea Book and Catalog and I just love the ruffled edges and stitching on the ribbon!

This was the second card that we made at my last workshop!

Zoo Review

Zoo Review is a new set in the 2011-12 Idea Book and Catalog.  Ryan picked it out and we had to have it!  His favorite animal is the giraffe, so of course I had to get my hands on it.

I created this card for my last workshop.  We colored him in with the watercolor pencils and used the blender pens to watercolor him.  I used Cajun Craze and Early Espresso for cardstock.

And, for once a manly card.  You don't find that very often!

The Card That Matches the Frame For My Niece.

This is the card that I made to go with the frame that was posted yesterday.  I stuck with the same color theme and the butterflies.  I added a different embossing folder and stamp set for the sentiment.  The "Congratulations" is from Curly Cute.  I just love this set.

Have a great day!

Frame For My Niece.

I enjoyed making my nephews frame so much,  that I decided to make one for my newest niece too!

I used butterflies and the stamp from Love & Care to create a "girly" frame.  I hope that it isn't something that  she outgrows too quickly!

I like the end result of the frame, but have to say that I enjoy working with boy colors alot better.  It must be because it comes so natural to me!  The colors that I used are Early Espresso, Pink Piroette and Baja Breeze.

Anyway, there you have it!

Not My Creation....

But, I love it anyway.  This is a card that a gal sent to me with a recent trade.  I just adore the look of the card.  She did a bunch of masking and sponging, I believe.   I am not sure if the blue on the card is brayered or sponged.  But, it is lovely!  I honestly don't know exactly which stamp set that she used, but it reminds me of Pocket Silhouettes.  I thought it was cute, I hope you do too!

My Sympathies...

Here is a card that I made that turned into a sympathy card.  I wasn't sure if the Poppy Parade was an appropriate color for a sympathy card, but it seemed to work.

The images are from the Just Believe Stamp Set.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.  I hand cut the small flower image and frame out.  And, adhered them in levels, bringing the focal point down.

Have  a good day!
