Letters To Santa

Letters to Santa is a package of DSP available in the 2011-12 Idea Book and Catalog.   Anyone who really knows me, knows that Christmas DSP is the last thing that I need!

For the last two years, I have deleted my Christmas day pictures before I downloaded them.  What a broken heart that leads to.    One would think that I would learn.

But, I do have other Christmas pictures that I can use  from other Christmas celebrations that we host and attend.

This is a picture of Scott and I the night of his works Christmas party.  I don't have many pictures of just the two of us.  But, this one came out fairly descent.

I love this sheet of DSP and there is no way that it should be cut.  So, I did a little embellishing and left it as is.  I added some pearls for extra decorations.

Jump On My Jingle

This is the card that I made for this months "Jump on Your Jingle" for SUDEMOONLY.  Each month we make a set of cards so that when December comes we are prepared for mailing Christmas cards without a lot of hassle.

For this card I used the Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' Kit.  I always love the DSP that is included in the scrappin' kits and this is no exception!  This card took literally 2 minutes to assemble.  The only stamping that I did is the "Merry Christmas" which is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

The colors of card stock that I used are Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.  The felt mittens are also new and in the Holiday Mini.  I just love these little felt pieces.  You will for sure be seeing me use more of them in the near future!

Have a great day!

The Other Quick and Easy Card.

This is the card that I made for Ryan's birthday thank you's.  I used the Gently Falling set.   I used Early Espresso for the outlines.  I used Pear Pizzaz, Really Rust and So Saffron for the leaves!

Love how easy it came together!

Super Quick and Easy!

Who doesn't love a one layer card?  I love nothing more, than sitting down for 5 minutes and whipping out a whole pile of cards!

That is what I did last weekend for the "thank yous" for my birthday and Ryan's birthday!  For my cards I used Field Flowers with Always Artichoke and Concord Crush.  The sentiment is from Thank You Kindly.

I love making these cards and I challenge anyone to say that they can buy them quicker and cheaper than I can make them!

This one is for Debra!

This is a card that I made for dear Debra!  Debra is a friend that I met through SUDEMOONLY.  She is a moderator on the site, and just has the biggest heart.  Debra took the time to send me many wonderful wishes for my birthday, so  a thank you card was in order.

I used the Gently Falling Stamp Set with the DSP and Fabric that I used in yesterdays card.  The colors just come together so nicely.  And, luckily the leaves are not that difficult to cut out!

Enjoy the day!

Gently Fallling.

This post comes with a warning...you will be seeing LOTS of this set and paper......

I held out on the pre-order special for quite a while, well until the last possible day.  Then I thought, what the heck?  I might as well take advantage of  a deal!  And, boy am I glad that I did.  I have created some mighty fine cards and I haven't even begun to scrapbook with this set!

This card uses the Gently Falling stamp set, Spice Cake DSP and the Spice Cake Designer Fabric.  I have NEVER ordered SU! fabric before, but it came in the bundle.  Boy, is SU! good at marketing!  I have to say that I enjoy using the fabric on my cards.

Our Niece's Birthday.

Our second niece turned 2!  I had to come up with a special card!  This is what I ended up with!  Bright cheery colors, embossing and I used my Big Shot with Shadowbox letters to create the 2nd....

The boys and I made wrapping paper to match  the card.  We used plain white wrapping paper.  They punched out circles in the same color scheme and we glued them to the paper!  It was super cute, and there is no other like it!

I always enjoy spending a little time and coming up with something that is special!  This certainly fit the bill!

Have  a good day!

In the Christmas Spirit!

Well, since my last post was related to Christmas past, I thought I would continue the Christmas trend for another day!

This is a card that I made for the SUDEMOONLY group that I belong too.  The idea is to begin working on our Christmas cards before December 24th.  So, yesterday I had a couple of minutes of stamping time and this is what I came up with for my September Christmas cards.

The paper is from the DSP Pack Letters to Santa.  I love this pack because of the color combination.  This is Marina Mist, Riding Hood Red,  and Early Espresso.

I have such a great week ahead!  The sad thing is that school starts and my boys will be gone most of the day!  Not to mention that I have to be on the look out for 4 bus stops per day, YUCK!  But, on a good note is that I was naughty last week and ordered some new goodies.  Most of the stuff is from the SU! Holiday Mini Catalog.  So, be on the look out for more goodies!  I also ordered an SU! shirt, which I normally don't do.  Hopefully, I am pleased with my purchase!

Have a great Labor Day!

Still Scrapbooking

Last Sunday, while Irene was doing her damage, I was scrap booking.  It was quite a lovely day indoors.  I stayed my jammies, watched it rained, listened to the wind and did a ton of scrap booking.

I am very excited about that because I had been working out of order on my photos.  I used to be right up to date with my scrap booking, but due to all of the other events in our lives I got behind.  When I started scrapping again, I of course worked on "current" stuff that was "more fun."  The results were very frustrating.

I am now only a year behind, but can do it in order with a few exceptions here and there.  But, I am off to a good start.

This is a very old photo of the boys that I couldn't just put away.  They are about 3 and 5 here with Santa.  I can't believe how time flies and how quickly they grow up.  Now, they are almost 9 and 11 and the days of Santa are gone!  But, I cherish moments like these!

Have a great day!
