Beary Good Friends.

Here is another card that I made up using the Beary Best Friends stamp set. These little bears are so cute and I use them more than I thought I would! For this card I used Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Close to Cocoa.
I think that I am going to put this set to use at my next workshop. They are simple to color and can be used for any occassion!
Thanks for checking in on this gray wet day!

In The Backwoods!

Here is a card that I made a while ago. I used my markers on the Backwoods stamp set to create a 3-D setting!

I believe that this set is on the SU! Dormant list. I thought that I would really like it when it first came out, but then after getting it, I didn't use it all that much. The images were neat, but I found them hard to work with and was never really thrilled with my results.

I ended up granting this set as a wish to a fellow demonstrator!

Have a great day!

Abby Gets Christened!

This weekend we had my nieces Christening. The service was very short and done so nicely.
This is the card that I made for her. I really didn't have "Christening" stamp set. So, I used a stamp from the God Is Love set. And, she is God's Little Lamb. I used my embossing folder on the background. Tied on some retired organdy ribbon and glittered up the sheep for a little more effect!
I can't believe that another weekend has past! It is truly fall here this week with cool damp weather!
Enjoy!

SUDEMOONLY Swap.

So, this month for our swap we used a sketch challenge. This is what I came up with using the Gifts of the Earth stamp set. I used the Circle Scissors Plus to cut the circle out and stuck it on using dimensionals for a little depth. I colored it using my markers. Instead of using ribbon, I cut thin strips of paper and added a jumbo eyelet for the final touch.
Hopefully, the ladies enjoy my creation! I can't wait to receive my cards!

Sweet Treat!

This is a new product featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog. It is the Sweet Treat set, and treat cups. The set is pretty versatile, featuring several holidays and images to add a treat to.
Obviously, this is the Halloween themed stamp. I simply stamped the image in Pumpkin Pie and used my 1 and 3/4 inch circle punch to pop out the Eek you're sweet image. I added some candy corn and then mounted it on Crushed Curry cardstock. I then used the center image as part of my greeting on the card. Happy Halloween is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
I believe that I am going to do up something similar for the boys to take to their Halloween parties at school.
Thanks for stopping by!

A Quick Birthday Thank You!

As previously mentioned, Ryan recently had a birthday. What follows a birthday? Writing many thank you notes. And, when you are 7 this is certainly not a pleasant experience. He had about 20 to do. He did the ones for his friends last week. Now, we are working on the pile for family. He has about 7 to finish!

Because I was making a bunch of them, I needed them to be fairly simple. So I chose the stamp set Farm Life. I used my markers and pencils to color in the animals. Then simply tied ribbon around the top of the card!

I only wish that Ryan had as much fun writing them as I did making them! Being 7 is tough!

An Anniversary Card.

Here is a card that I made for my brother and sister-in-law. It is their 2nd Anniversary today! I used similar colors and layout of my swap card for this month. I will post that card tomorrow!
I used this stamp set from the Holiday Mini for many cards so far this Fall. When I first ordered it, I wasn't sure that I would use is so much. But, the images look so nice colored with markers, or chalks. And, of course it is perfect for Fall colors, which are my favorite!
Happy Anniversary Gary and Kelly!

My new crocheted flowers!

My friend Keri Lou (aka Krafty Keri) makes these lovely crocheted flowers that totally match the SU! colors! They are so darn cute! She has an etsy site where she sells them. Or, you can get ahold of me and I can get some ordered for you! Once you have them, you think of a million ways to use them!

For this card I just used my Greenhouse Garden stamp set with Rich Razzleberry and Summer Sun. Then I popped a jumbo eyelet into the crocheted flowers and then glue dotted them to my card! How fun!!!

Anyway, that is my contribution for today! I will be back tomorrow with more stuff that I made, just like promised!

As Promised.....

Here I am this morning, just as promised. I got up early and spent a couple of minutes in the stamping room. I had this card made for Keri's workshop. You have seen a very similar card here on my blog in the past. I changed it up just a little bit (ribbon).
I love the sponging circles. And, the paper piercing along the bottom really adds a nice touch!
Anyway, there you have something made by me. I have another card that I made this morning to show you tomorrow. And, if all goes well today, I will have more original work to post. I hope that after soccer today, I will have time to spend upstairs!
Have a good one!
P.S. I am sorry about the coloring of this picture. It seems a little off! It is really on Whisper White paper.

Ryans Birthday Card From Grandma!

This is the card that my mother in law made for Ryan. She did such a nice job! I love this set and all of the options to add to the tree image! I can't decide if I like the boots or the tire swing more!

Well, that is it of other peoples work. I will be getting some time up in my stamp room tomorrow, if all goes as planned. I have many things running around in my head, so hopefully I can get some of them down on paper.

So, stay-tuned and I promise I will be back with my own work! Thanks for bearing with me!

Now, Ryans Birthday Cards.

Here is a card that my sister in law made for Ryans 7th birthday. She used the Under The Stars Stamp set. I love how simple the card is! She thought that it would be fun following our summer camping trips.

Along with this card, Kelly also made a really cool latchhook rug for Ryans bedroom. It is a sports themed rug. And, Ryan just loves it!!! Thank you for being so kind!

Have a great day!

Another Birthday Card.

This is a card that my good friend Lynne made for my birthday! I love the simplicity, yet the details are great! It reminds me that I should get out my spiral punch and use it once in a while!

She used the Wonderful Favorites. It is a great set that has many sentiments that you can put together!

Thanks for stopping in!

A Birthday Card!

Here is a card that my dear friend Keri sent to me for my birthday. She also sent me 3 of the coolest scrapbooks ever! They look like brief cases, but they are photo albums! I must get going and fill them up!

Keri does the best job distressing and sponging! She used the Top Note and Flower die to embellish it. Then finished it off with a build a brad!

I love it! Thank you so much Keri....for the birthday card, gift and most of all your friendship! You are awesome!!!!

Enjoy the day!

Birthday Invitations.

It is hard to believe that my baby will be seven years old on Monday! Time certainly flies! It is a good thing that I have two new nieces to watch grow up!

Ryan is extremely athletic and loves every sport. For his invitations he wanted soccer...so, that was an easy task! The invitations are done and delivered!

For his cake, he asked for a giraffe. I have my work cut out for me that is for sure! But, I have until Friday to figure that one out!!!!

Enjoy your Saturday!

The Last of the August Swap Cards.

Good morning. Sorry for not being on yesterday. It was the first day in a while that I haven't had a chance to post. But, I just didn't have the computer time available!
So, here I am this morning. This card was the last one for me in the August SUDEMOONLY swap. Judy Winkleman sent it to me. I was very intriqued by the way she did the sentiment. I had never thought to use the word window punch in this manner!
Now, I can't wait to get the next swap in the mail and start receiving mine!
Have a good one!

'Tis The Season For Babies!

We have been having a huge baby boom around here! Many of our friends and family are increasing the size of their family!

Here is a card that I made for another friend who just had their baby girl on my birthday! I used my Finial Press Texturz plate on the pink background. I also used my Circle Scissors Plus to make the layers of circles. The Image is from Teddy and Train.

I colored the bear in with my markers and I added some ribbon and sponging for final detail.

I know that there are more babies and more baby cards in my very near future, so please stay tuned!

Have a great day!

A Sympathy Card.

Here is a card that I made a while ago. I loved this stamp set Upsy Daisy right out of the gate! It is so versatile and easy to use! For this card, I initially stamped the base with Old Olive and repeated the flower image. For the main image I used my markers to color the flowers and the stems. After I stamped it, I ran it through the crimper to add a little more!

I hope that you all enjoy your day. Here it is back to school day for the kids! So, my life will be changing and I will adjust to a new normal! Have a good one!

Another Anniversary.

This is a card that I gave to friends who were celebrating their anniversary last week. This set is called Season of Friendship. It is a lot of fun to use. For this card I used Chocolate Chip, More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie. The result is a nice looking "fallish" card. You can also put flowers, snowflake or a bird in the tree.
The paper is retired DSP paper, I am unsure which pack it came in.
Happy Labor Day!

Happy Anniversary!

This week is my brother-in-law and sister-in-laws anniversary. They will be married for two years and are expecting their first baby any day.

So, this is the card that I made for them. I used my circle scissors plus to cut out the image. This image is from a set in the Holiday Mini called Gifts of the Earth. I used my markers to color it in and did a little sponging to add some depth.

I am working on a swap for SUDEMOONLY that is a sketch this month. I didn't realize how difficult it would be for me to do a sketch swap. I am used to putting things together the way that I think they look nice. Well, needless to say, this is not the same sketch that we are doing. But, I liked it anyway and thought that I would share it!

Happy Sunday!

Looking for something cool to buy?

When I was placing my last order, I was looking for a little something fun to add. My MIL had asked about the Wood Sheets and what they were. And, honestly I didn't know much about them. So, the Wood Sheets is what I added to my order.
Well, they came last week. They are super cool! They look like wood, but act like paper. It is a very thin sheet of wood adhered to paper. So, they cut with a paper cutter. I was also not sure how well they would stamp. Well, when I tried they came out perfectly!
So, this is the card that I made with them. I even punched out the sentiment using the word window punch. Now, I can't wait to get a few pictures of the boys helping Scott do a project. I will use the wood sheets in my Big Shot and use the Tool Stamp set...it will be perfect! I just need the pictures!!!
Have a good one!

Back to the SUDEMOONLY Swaps.

Here is the card that Lorita Edwards sent to me. She used one of my favorite sets Fifth Avenue Floral. She also used my other current favorite set Teeny Tiny Wishes. The oval punch and the scallop oval punch really help to emphasize the sentiment!

It has been a lot of fun seeing how a color combination can be used in many different ways. I should still be receiving one more swap card that I will share when it arrives!

Enjoy the sunshine!

In Color Thank You.

Good morning! Here is a very simple card that I whipped up yesterday. I used Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry. The little bird is from Cheep Talk. I simply cut little slivers of Crushed Curry cardstock to glue onto the Rich Razzleberry piece. Yes, it is a little tedious, but I am always pleased with the results. It is simple to do, yet adds so much.
Well, thanks for checking in!

Gobble, Gobble.

I know, I know it is a might bit early for Thanksgiving. This is the Turkey stamp Gobble Gobble from the Holiday Mini. It is in the $10 and under catagory.
I was looking for something quick to make so that I had something new to post. So, I went to the sponging circles in a Fall theme. Then I added the turkey in Chocolate Chip. The cardstock is layered Chocolate Chip, More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie. I added a little Chocolate Chip bow for some excitement!
This kind of card is exactly why I love stamping. If you need a card, it is so quick and simple to come up with something elegant in a matter of minutes. There are so many people who think that they can not do this. But, I am here to prove them wrong. Anyone is capable of making cards!
Have a great day! This will be my last day with extra kids. Then we have 5 days off as a family...that will bring us to the first day of school! Boy, the summer has flown by!

A Fun Scrapbook Page.

Last Thursday we went to the Great New York State Fair. Ryan has always had a soft spot for giraffes. Well, they had a mini circus there and we got to pet and feed the giraffes. Ryan enjoyed it very much. I must admit that it was the highlight of my day, too.
They are magnificent animals. They are so long legged and graceful! I could have spent the entire day there. One of the signs on the pen read "please do not feed the animals from your mouth." That also provided a chuckle. I would have never thought of it!!! People are so funny!
For this page I used a Real Red base. I used my Shadowbox letters with my Big Shot to make the title. And, I used the little leaves sizzlit and crushed curry cardstock for the twigs. The photos are all mounted on Brilliant Blue paper.
This page will be a great reminder of a wonderful day!
Enjoy!
