The Thought I Was Going To Syracuse Swap

Because of bad weather our Regional in Syracuse was cancelled. So, there was a sweet demonstrator (Heidi Baks) that offered to do a mail in swap. We mailed our swaps to her and she swapped them out and we got them mailed back.

This card was a cardfront that was submitted by Catherine McGough. I believe she used the shaving cream technique to do the background. Then she used the Extreme Elements stamp set to do the background. She then embosssed the Extreme Skateboard in black.

Ryan had a birthday party to go to. He got to pick a card. This is the front that he picked. So, I trimmed the cardfront down. I mounted it on White cardstock. He helped me make the tag and add the brads. And, wa-la he had himself a cool birthday card!

A Swap Card.

This card was sent to me by Julie Kurtz from SUDEMOONLY. It fits right into our theme of the Big Shot. She used the Top Note die and cut it on the edge of cardstock. That way the white part opens up to be the card. It is a neat way to used the die.

I so loved this set when it came out, but haven't used it in a while. I will have to get it out and use it with my chalks. It looks just so pretty!

A Bright Idea....

.....Unfortunately, it wasn't mine! As I was looking at some blogs, I came upon one that used the ornament punch for the vase! Well, that is a splendid idea. I had purchased this punch back at Christmas time, but figured that there would be no other uses for it. I was wrong! I should have known better with all of those talented ladies out there. Since then, I have seen some other neat things done with it!

Not to mention, the card used the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt pieces. It was like a match made in stamping heaven. I used the Top Note die, and cut the border off of the white piece. Then I embossed the white piece with the Polka Dot embossing folder. The DSP is from the Sweet Pea DSP pack.

Many things that I love, all coming together on one card!

I Have Returned!

Happy Monday! I apologize for the absence. I have had bronchitis, pneumonia and a sinus infection. In between there, the stomach bug came cruising through our family! It has been like an infirmary around here! Now, I am back and feeling much better!

Here is my take on Cyndi Willis' card from the swap. I thought that she did a lovely job! I loved the card. So, I decided to switch up the colors and see how it turned out. We did this card at my workshop on Friday. The ladies are loving the butterflies!

I used the In Colors Rich Razzleberry, Bermuday Bay and Melon Mambo. I used the polka dot folder to emboss the polka dots. I love this folder, the dots really "pop" off of the paper!

A Shimmery Swap!

Janice McWilliams sent me this work of art! She used the Big Shot in a couple of ways. First she used the Polka Dot Impressions Folder to make the background. Then, she used it to cut out the Top Note and embossed it with the Manhatten Flower Impressions Folder.

I love the shimmer to the card that I believe was done by the shimmer paints. The color combination is stunning!

It's That Time Of The Month Again!

The SUDEMOONLY Swaps have begun to arrive! Here is a lovely card that was sent by Cyndi Willis. I love this card! She did a great job of details, yet it isn't overly done. Our theme this month was the Big Shot. So, we could do anything that we wanted as long as it incorporated the Big Shot. Cyndi used two products from the Occassions Mini Catalog. She used the Textured Impressions Folder Perfect Polka Dots. She also used the Embosslits Die Beautiful Wings. This die cuts and embosses all at the same time!
